Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

1st and 2nd shifts available

32.50 for level I maintenance, 42.65 for level II

Job Description

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician installs, maintains, and repairs automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyors and material handling systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting and servicing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems to keep a highly automated facility running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems throughout the facility.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyor systems.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, and controls work related to dock systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Conduct inspections and basic maintenance on air compressors and related pneumatic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including identifying shorts and faults using a multimeter.
  • Work with electrical components inside control cabinets, ensuring safe and accurate repairs.
  • Interpret and apply information from arc flash labels to perform work safely around energized equipment.
  • Interface with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Perform mechanical work on motors and drive units, including adjustments, replacements, and alignment.
  • Carry out routine and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Communicate clearly with other technicians and facility staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Support operations across two nearby locations as needed, maintaining consistent service and response times.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems.
  • At least 3+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyors.
  • Proficiency using a multimeter for diagnostics and verification of electrical circuits.
  • Experience working with electrical components within control cabinets.
  • Ability to read and understand arc flash labels and apply appropriate safety practices.
  • Familiarity with HMI interfaces for monitoring and troubleshooting automated systems.
