Job description

Are you a tech-savvy storyteller who can simplify the complex and communicate it in a compelling way. AWS is seeking a Principal Tech Product Marketing Manager to define and drive the marketing of the Amazon Connect Family - a portfolio of AI-powered solutions that turn every customer interaction into a moment worth remembering, accelerate hiring, streamline clinical workflows, and shift supply chain teams from crisis to proactive planning and decisioning.
The Amazon Connect Family includes:
Customer AI - Turn every customer interaction into a moment worth remembering
Talent - Accelerate quality hiring at scale from weeks to hours
Decisions - Shift your supply chain teams from crisis to proactive planning and decisioning
Health - Streamline patient scheduling, clinical documentation, and medical coding
You'll own the portfolio-level narrative and go-to-market strategy for all four products. Your area of deepest expertise will be Amazon Connect Decisions and the supply chain domain - understanding how global enterprises plan, source, manufacture, and deliver goods, and where AI creates step-function improvements

You'll be the voice connecting AWS to supply chain decision-makers navigating disruption, complexity, and the pressure to move from reactive, spreadsheet-heavy operations to proactive, AI-augmented planning
Key job responsibilities
Portfolio Responsibilities:
- Own the portfolio narrative: Define and evolve the overarching value proposition for the Amazon Connect Family - weaving Customer AI, Talent, Decisions, and Health into a cohesive story for C-suite and line-of-business buyers.
- Drive marketing: Drive awareness, consideration, purchase, and loyalty - activating cross-company resources (field marketing, AR, PR, events, digital) to execute.
- Lead product launches: Own naming, audience definition, positioning, messaging, and marketing vehicle selection for new product introductions and major feature releases.
- Know the customer deeply: Understand the challenges, tech stacks, buying processes, and competitive alternatives for each target persona across the portfolio. Create persona frameworks that ground all marketing execution.
- Synthesize market intelligence: Translate analyst research, win/loss data, competitive intel, and customer feedback into actionable insights that shape product roadmaps and marketing priorities.
- Create positioning that differentiates: Develop messaging that connects customer needs with the jobs to be done (JTBD) and differentiates from alternatives - including the status quo of no action.
Amazon Connect Decisions - Supply Chain Depth:
- Be the supply chain authority: Serve as the team's resident expert on supply chain operations - demand planning, inventory optimization, S&OP, logistics network design, procurement, manufacturing execution, and last-mile delivery. Translate complex supply chain concepts into clear, compelling marketing narratives that resonate with practitioners and executives alike.
- Own the Decisions marketing: Lead marketing specifically for Amazon Connect Decisions - defining how we reach VP Supply Chain, CSCO, S&OP leaders, and demand planners with a message that cuts through the noise of a crowded supply chain tech market.
- Map the supply chain buyer journey: Define the decision-making landscape for supply chain leaders - their pain points, KPIs (forecast accuracy, inventory turns, OTIF, cost-to-serve), evaluation criteria, and the champions and blockers involved in technology adoption.
- Position AI for supply chain transformation: Develop messaging that shows how Decisions shifts supply chain teams from crisis-driven, reactive operations to proactive planning and decisioning

Address the real gap: AI has never been more capable, but turning that capability into how your team actually works is hard. Decisions is designed to integrate into existing workflows, not the other way around.
- Build supply chain content & enablement: Create technical content (demos, reference architectures, solution briefs, customer stories) that speaks fluently to supply chain professionals. Develop sales enablement materials that help field teams hold credible, technical conversations with supply chain buyers.
- Drive industry engagement: Represent AWS at supply chain industry events, analyst briefings, and executive customer meetings

Build relationships with key supply chain analysts and thought leaders.
- Leverage the Amazon story: Connect Amazon's own supply chain transformation - one of the most complex fulfillment networks in the world - as proof of what's possible when AI meets operational excellence at scale.
Technical Evangelism & Content:
- Develop technical content: Create and oversee demos, presentations, reference architectures, and solution guides that educate customers across the Connect Family portfolio.
- Represent AWS externally: Serve as a technical evangelist in executive briefings, industry events, analyst interactions, and media engagements - with particular credibility in supply chain forums.
