As a Delivery Driver, you will be provided with a company van and a company phone to assist with GPS navigation and communication. Your responsibilities include loading your delivery vehicle, safely operating a Sprinter Van with a weight rating of up to 10,000 pounds, following all safety regulations, and using GPS and electronic devices for navigation and communication. Drivers must be able to work independently, follow detailed instructions without constant supervision, maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, and provide excellent customer service in all conditions, including varying weather and traffic. Drivers can work full-time (typically 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts) or part-time (typically 2 days a week, 10-hour shifts). You are expected to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to interact with the public, respond to official inquiries, and complete logs and reports accurately. You must also be able to maintain a positive, professional attitude with customers, coworkers, managers, and Amazon employees. General responsibilities include adhering to strict safety and quality standards, completing safety inspections on your company vehicle, following all local and state driving laws, maintaining a clean, fueled, and operational vehicle, assisting other drivers with rescue routes when needed, and performing additional tasks at the delivery station as assigned. Flexibility is important, as routes and schedules may change due to traffic, weather, or peak seasons. This is a physical job that requires delivering packages weighing up to 50 pounds, stepping in and out of the van safely throughout your shift. Physical duties also include walking, lifting, bending, reaching overhead, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and stretching during shifts up to 10 hours long.
