Job description

Join JRE Logistics, LLC, an Amazon Delivery Service Partner hiring full-time and part-time delivery drivers in Chula Vista. We provide Amazon-branded vehicles, uniforms, delivery equipment, and paid trainingyou bring dependable attendance, safe driving, and great customer service.

Enjoy an active role working independently, delivering packages, and helping customers receive their orders safely and accurately. Previous delivery experience is welcome but not required.

Pay, benefits and training

  • $22.25/hour base pay.
  • $33.38/hour for overtime at 1.5 the base rate. Your ninth and tenth paid work hours each day qualify when worked. Any applicable higher premiums are paid as required by law.
  • Paid training provided. We also cover Step Van training and required DOT qualification costs for interested drivers.
  • Paid every Friday through ADP.
  • PTO accrual begins on your first day.
  • Medical benefits for eligible employees, subject to waiting periods and enrollment requirements.
  • 401(k) with company matching after 90 days for eligible employees, subject to plan terms.

Weekly pay examples

  • Three 10-hour workdays: Approximately $734 before taxes.
  • Four 10-hour workdays: Approximately $979 before taxes.

Examples assume eight regular paid hours and two overtime hours each day. Actual earnings depend on hours worked and applicable pay premiums. Hours and overtime are not guaranteed.

Location and schedule

Station: Amazon DIB5 860 Harold Place, Chula Vista, CA 91914

  • Full-time: Typically four days per week, with approximately 40 paid hours. Typical shift window: 10:45 AM9:15 PM.
  • Part-time: Typically three days per week, with up to 30 paid hours. Typical shift window: 11:45 AM10:05 PM.
  • Shifts generally involve 810 hours of work, with actual start and finish times varying by assignment and workload.
  • Weekend availability is preferred.

Additional shifts may be available. Part-time drivers may be considered for full-time openings based on availability, safety, attendance, and performance.

What youll do

  • Safely operate a company-provided Cargo Van or Step Van.
  • Load and organize packages and follow navigation and customer delivery instructions.
  • Complete scanning, delivery-photo, and other required delivery procedures.
  • Communicate promptly with dispatch about delays, access issues, or delivery concerns.
  • Complete vehicle inspections, package returns, and end-of-day duties.
  • Work outdoors, handle packages up to 49 lbs, and safely enter and exit the vehicle throughout the day.

Routes may involve up to approximately 200 stops per day, with frequent walking and package handling. Stop counts and workload vary.

What youll need

  • Be 21 years of ageor older with a valid drivers license.
  • Meet driver-qualification requirements for your assigned vehicle.
  • Complete the required five-panel urine drug screening. Marijuana screening results are not considered.
  • Read safety and delivery instructions and communicate clearly in English with customers and dispatch.
  • Bring reliable attendance, safe work habits, and strong organization.

Delivery experience is preferred but not required. Step Van experience is a plus.
