The Position:

The Operations Analyst - Amazon plays a key role in driving performance across the Amazon Canada business through reporting, forecasting, promotional planning, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration. This role acts as a central business partner across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver actionable insights, improve processes, and support scalable growth initiatives.


The ideal candidate is financially minded, highly analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced ecommerce environment


Responsibilities:


Business Reporting & Insights

  • Own weekly and monthly reporting across Amazon Canada retail KPIs, financial performance, profitability, and operational metrics.
  • Utilize tools including Power BI, Pacvue, Profitero, Vendor Central, Stackline, and internal reporting systems to maintain accurate reporting and deliver actionable insights.
  • Analyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to the Amazon team and leadership.
  • Support data governance and ensure accuracy across financials, KPI reporting, and business operations.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead Amazon demand forecasting activities in partnership with Account Managers and Demand Planning teams.
  • Support development of forecasts for promotional events, new product launches, and category expansions.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust projections based on sales trends, inventory levels, and market dynamics.
  • Provide forecasting guidance, reporting support, and best practices to Account Managers.

Promotional & Deal Strategy

  • Manage end-to-end promotional planning and execution for key Amazon events including Prime Day, Holiday, and other tentpole periods.
  • Support product selection, promotional forecasting, ROI analysis, and daily performance reporting during events.
  • Partner with internal teams on bulk buy strategies and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Track promotional spend and performance against approved plans and financial targets.

Operations & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Amazon stakeholders to improve instock performance, fulfillment metrics, and operational efficiencies.
  • Identify and help resolve operational issues related to purchase orders, compliance programs, inventory flow, and chargebacks.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on streamlining processes and improving operational KPIs.

Financial Reconciliation & Compliance

  • Support the VP with weekly financial reporting and business performance updates.
  • Assist with financial reconciliation processes, deduction tracking, and escalation management.
  • Partner with internal teams to reduce chargebacks, improve compliance metrics, and protect margin performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial accuracy, reporting consistency, and operational accountability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key point of contact across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Communicate business performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning discussions through data-driven insights and operational analysis.

Growth & Efficiency Initiatives

  • Continuously evaluate business performance to identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Champion scalable processes, reporting automation, and best practices across the Amazon business.
  • Support development of long-term operational and commercial strategies


Minimum Qualifications


  • Degree in Business or similar education / experience in Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ecommerce, Amazon Vendor Central, sales operations, business analytics, or forecasting.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a fast-paced retail, ecommerce, or CPG environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Experience with Power BI, Stackline, Vendor Central, SAP IBP, and forecasting/reporting tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP
