Job description

We're looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to develop AI-powered advertiser workflows for Amazon Ads.
You'll own the design and delivery of highly scalable systems that advertisers, agencies, and sellers use to build, manage, and serve ads to targeted audiences across Desktop, Mobile, Kindle, Video, and Retail. We're building a full-service advertising platform - and AI agents are at the center of it.
Our tech stack spans React/TypeScript frontends to Java backend services with agentic AI orchestration. We need engineers comfortable working across the full stack - if you lean toward UI or services, we have flexibility to match your strengths.
Key job responsibilities
- You'll own features end-to-end - working directly with customers to scope requirements, design solutions, implement, test, and launch

Our systems serve advertisers at Amazon scale, and you'll be responsible for building and maintaining both the React/TypeScript frontend and Java backend services that power them.
- You'll design and develop agentic AI workflows - you'll work with LLMs to build intelligent campaign creation and management experiences that fundamentally change how advertisers interact with our platform.
- You'll help define the technical vision for our next phase of scale and complexity. You'll partner across multiple teams to deliver unified advertiser experiences through shared components and common frameworks.
- You'll raise the engineering bar - through code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring - while continuously improving the performance, reliability, and developer experience of our systems.
About the team
We simplify media buying for Amazon Ads advertisers - helping them achieve their campaign objectives faster with less friction. We raise the bar not just for the workflows we own, but across the entire trader journey.
Our vision spans both streamlined traditional workflows and AI-powered agentic experiences

Advertisers can set up, launch, and optimize campaigns with industry-leading control and transparency - whether through familiar UI or natural language powered by LLMs. We own the core agentic platform that enables advertisers to navigate, create, and manage campaigns through sophisticated AI agents.
We partner across Amazon Ads to drive a unified experience using shared components and common frameworks. If it touches how advertisers create and manage campaigns, we're in the critical path.
