What is an Amazon Install?

An Amazon Install job typically involves delivering, assembling, and installing products for customers who purchase large items like furniture, appliances, or electronics. Technicians in this role ensure that installations are completed correctly and provide basic instructions on product use. These roles may require mechanical skills, knowledge of tools, and excellent customer service abilities. Employees may work independently or in teams, often traveling to customer locations.

What does an Amazon Install do?

A typical day as an Amazon Install technician often involves traveling to multiple customer locations to deliver, assemble, and set up a variety of products—such as smart home devices, large appliances, or furniture. You’ll use specialized tools and apps to manage work orders, communicate with customers, and troubleshoot any on-site issues that arise. Most days require collaboration with team members or coordination with customer service and logistics staff. The work can be physically demanding and fast-paced, but it offers a rewarding opportunity to interact directly with customers and solve real-world problems. Over time, top performers may advance to lead installer positions, field supervisor roles, or gain additional technical certifications for more complex installations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Amazon Install position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Amazon Install technician, you need a solid understanding of installation procedures, electrical or technical troubleshooting, and basic construction skills, often supported by prior experience in appliance or equipment installation. Familiarity with handheld diagnostic tools, mobile field service apps, and sometimes certifications such as OSHA safety training or manufacturer-specific credentials is important. Strong customer service, communication skills, and reliability will help you excel when working in clients' homes or business settings. These skills are crucial for ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused installations that maintain Amazon’s high service standards.

New York, NY

Job description

This is not a job and you are not applying for a role. It is a paid referral offer: introduce a full service New York City restaurant to Tabbed and we pay you $500 per venue.
No interview, no schedule, no quota, no reporting to anyone. You already have the relationships. If one of your restaurants would benefit from Tabbed, make the introduction and get paid.
ABOUT TABBED
Tabbed is the frictionless payment and guest intelligence layer for hospitality. Proprietary Bluetooth spatial recognition links a guest to their check the moment they sit down. They order through staff as normal, close the check from their phone, and walk out. No QR codes. No scanning. No check drop. An Amazon Go experience for restaurants, with the hospitality left intact. Tabbed runs natively on Toast, and venues install it themselves from the third-party integrations page.
WHAT WE PAY
$500 per venue on the handoff flow. The $500 figure listed in the compensation field is the payout per referral, not a salary or an hourly rate.
HOW IT WORKS
You make the introduction. Tabbed takes it from there.
1. Reach out to your contact. We give you an email template for that venue type.
2. Send the lead. Email priority@tabbedinc.com or CC that address on your intro.
3. Tabbed runs the demo. Demo video, benefits for that venue type, next steps, and a meeting recap left with the operator.
4. Tabbed closes or books the follow-up. You get updated either way, and you get paid on the referral.
WHICH VENUES QUALIFY
Full service restaurants in New York City only: sit-down venues with table service and servers running checks. No fast casual, counter service, QSR, or delivery-only concepts.
WHAT TO INCLUDE WITH A REFERRAL
Venue name and location
Contact name, title, and email
Venue type
Number of locations
Anything you already know: decision maker, timing, current pain points
The cleanest version is to CC priority@tabbedinc.com on your intro email. Tabbed sees the warm intro and steps in directly on the thread. Your referral is logged when the lead lands, so send it before the conversation gets going.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Anyone in NYC hospitality with existing full service restaurant relationships: consultants, GMs, operators, chefs, suppliers, POS and tech resellers, and anyone with a network of venues. Keep your current job. This runs alongside whatever you already do.
HOW TO JOIN
Hit Apply here or email priority@tabbedinc.com for more info and to enroll formally in the program. Applying just starts a conversation with us. We will share full details, templates, and payout terms there. More detail about Tabbed, please visit https://culinaryagents.com/entities/1111538-Tabbed
