Job Description

This is a full time driver position with Fireteam Logistics LLC, delivering packages for Amazon! We need reliable, independent, flexible, hard workers who pay attention to details, can quickly problem solve a wide range of situations, and win in a fast-paced environment! Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, communicate effectively, and are ready to get the job done.

Successful delivery drivers enjoy being out on the road driving, put safety first, and care deeply about customer expectations and satisfaction.

We are looking for team players who desire to grow with the Company

  • Military veterans are welcome!
  • Commercial, DOT, CDL (or work-related) driving experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • As we grow, supervisory roles may be available.

While we do offer a set schedule (the same four, 10-hour shifts per week), we do ask candidates to have open availability, as the set schedule could fall on any days, including weekends. Additionally, we utilize on call. Employees are expected to be available (up to) one additional day per week. Employees will be notified of the on call day the week prior.

Position Summary:

Drives company-provided van with capacity of less than 10,000 pounds to transport, load and unload packages to and from specified destinations. Interacts with customers at their home and business locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully handle and deliver packages on time
  • Safely drive and perform safety inspections on Company vehicle
  • Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
  • Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
  • Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift packages (up to 50 lbs.); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
  • Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
  • Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting
  • administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
  • Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
  • Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Supervises:

  • Not a Supervisory Role.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job function of this job. These include:

  • Physical Demands: Employee is required to stand, walk, sit and drive a company- provided vehicle. Employee is required to reach and lift with both hands and both arms. Employee is required to crouch, stoop and bend with both legs. Employee is required to talk and hear without assistance. Employee must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds in a single package. Good manual dexterity skills are required as well as good eye-hand coordination. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: Employee is driving a vehicle in urban, suburban and rural settings. Must be comfortable working alone and communicating with home office and supervisor through provided mobile devices.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a 5-panel drug screening, including marijuana.
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
  • Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills
