Job description

Join Amazon's US Grocery Delivery team as a Sr. Manager of Program Management, where you will serve as the single-threaded owner of delivery strategy and execution across the US Sub Same Day Grocery (SSDG) delivery network.
In this role, you will lead a team of direct reports, owning both cost and quality performance for Sub Same Day Grocery last mile delivery. You will act as a thought leader for your team - guiding deep dives into complex data to drive adjustments across proactive levers (driver scheduling, routing, and assignment) and reactive systems (exception management, andons, and alerts)

Your ability to translate data into actionable insights will be critical to optimizing delivery performance and raising the bar for the customer experience across SSDG's store-based fulfillment and delivery model.
You will work cross-functionally with Amazon Flex, Retail, Capacity Planning, Operations, Operations Integration, Store Operations, and Technology teams to develop innovative solutions that advance organizational goals. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution - you will be expected to identify opportunities, build scalable mechanisms, and deliver measurable results across a complex, store-based delivery network operating at scale.
This is a high-visibility role ideal for a senior leader who thrives in ambiguity, is passionate about solving complex supply chain challenges, and is motivated by driving impact at scale across a rapidly evolving grocery delivery program.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute the delivery performance roadmap for the US Sub Same Day Grocery network, setting goals and tracking progress against cost and quality targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply chain managers, establishing clear priorities and creating mechanisms for accountability and professional growth.
- Design and refine driver scheduling, routing, and assignment strategies to optimize delivery throughput and cost efficiency across the store-based delivery model.
- Build and maintain frameworks for exception management, andons, and alerting to enable rapid response to delivery disruptions.
- Develop business cases to evaluate trade-offs between cost, speed, and quality, influencing senior leadership on investment priorities and performance standards.
- Create and own reporting mechanisms that surface key performance trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
