• Deliver direct physical therapy interventions tailored to orthopedic conditions, focusing on pain alleviation, functional restoration, and the prevention of disability.
• Assess and evaluate client functional levels through the use of diagnostic tests, ensuring comprehensive assessments of muscle, joint, and nerve functions.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans based on physician prescriptions, optimizing rehabilitation strategies to meet clients' specific goals.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, including manual and non-manual exercises, while integrating advanced treatment modalities such as traction and massage.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing care plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards of patient care.
• Conduct home environment assessments, guiding modifications to enhance clients' independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights for client treatment planning and evaluation.
• Document clinical findings meticulously, preparing initial evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Provide education to clients and their families regarding therapy exercises, equipment use, and post-treatment care.
• Stay accessible for mentorship and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our approach prioritizes client engagement, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support geared toward their unique rehabilitation journey. The diverse patient population includes a wide range of age groups, thus requiring a compassionate and adaptive approach to care.

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in California, in good standing.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably within acute care or home healthcare settings.
• Certification in CPR and adherence to safety and ethical practices.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate travel to patients' homes as required.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, facilitating effective dialogue with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor junior staff effectively.

• Experience specifically in orthopedics and working with diverse patient populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care plan management.
• Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations relevant to physical therapy.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
