Job description

Employer: Amazon Data Services, Inc.
Position: HW Commodity Specialist II - AMZ22609.4
Location: Arlington, VA
Multiple Positions Available:
1. Create and implement sourcing strategies for at least one
services category and collaborate with internal business
partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and
costs for Amazon.
2. Develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers
accountable for performance and delivery;
3. Drive results through methods that include competitive
bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends for
your category;
4. Manage supply or purchasing activities, which may include
managing supplier relationships and performance; resolving
vendor issues; or tracking, analyzing and reconciling purchase
orders and requisitions.
5. Engage in forecasting, demand planning,
material/supply/inventory planning, and/or capacity planning to
deliver supply globally with a high degree of predictability;
6. Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times
and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving
excess; and
7. Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively
identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect
continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that
benefit Amazon.
8. Domestic travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Must have three years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) experience in program, project, or product management; and (2) working with data, analytics, and analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
The pay range for this position in Arlington, VA is $107952 - $139100 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
