Job description

From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our advanced power systems for battery testing

This role will involve designing, building, test and validation of our comprehensive test systems, including PCBA cyclers, battery cyclers and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) battery emulators. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in electrical circuits, system designing and selecting parts where our test systems meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
Key job responsibilities
1. Lead the design, selection, and development of different test cyclers and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL).

Collaborate on power supply selection, component sizing, and overall system architecture to ensure high performance, efficiency, and reliability.
3. Size electrical components such as current sensors, harnesses, gauges, and other critical battery-related hardware.
4. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal quality controls in the design of the test systems.

Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior engineers and cross-functional teams involved in the battery development process.
6. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of power test system failures during and provide solutions for redesign or system improvements.
7. Proven skills of leading a design end-to-end

This role may require occasional travel for different locations, third party labs, vendors, or meetings as needed, up to 20% of the time
9. This role requires the physical ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs, including frequent bending, reaching, and standing, if needed.
