As a summer 2027 engineering student intern with Olsson's Substation and Power Generation (Power Delivery) Team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career.

Depending on your area of interest you could learn things like:

  • CAD design processes and standards 
  • Physical arrangement and protection for medium voltage >1kV, High voltage >69,000V, and Extra high voltage >230kV systems.
  • Protection schemes 
    • Control wiring and fiber communications
    • Basic relaying
    • Fault identification and isolation
  • Physical arrangement 
    • Air insulation clearances
    • Lightning protection analysis
