Company Description

Liftoff Logistics is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner built on a fast-paced, supportive team culture. We invest in our drivers - with structured training, real advancement opportunities and a workplace that values respect and working as a team as much as performance.

Job Description

We are hiring a seasonal Dispatcher for Peak Season - mid - September through the end of December, with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business need.

As Dispatcher you'll coordinate and optimize daily delivery operations - managing driver schedules, troubleshooting issues in real time, and keeping service quality high. You'll also be on hand to run delivery routes yourself, stepping in for rescues or call-outs as needed, so you'll stay hands-on with the operation you're managing.

Ready to lead a team this peak season? Apply today - this is a great way to step into a leadership role, with the door open to something permanent.

Benefits:

  • $26/hr plus overtime pay and performance bonuses
  • Full benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO and sick leave
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • A path to full-time: strong performers may be brought on permanently after the peak season
  • A dynamic, supportive team culture that values authenticity and respect

Duties:

  • Perform opening duties such as assigning vans, assembling asset bags, managing call-outs, troubleshooting route assignment issues, and conducting Stand-Up meeting
  • Use dispatch management software to track details of operations and performance
  • Stay in constant communication with drivers, providing updates, guidance, and support throughout their shifts
  • Monitor Netradyne for safety violations and take immediate action as appropriate
  • Facilitate communication with other members of the leadership team
  • Roster next day drivers each night, taking into consideration various factors
  • Document accidents, injuries, and other incidents accurately and timely
  • Coach drivers on scorecard areas of improvement 1:1 to boost key metrics
  • Resolve on-road issues as they arise such as vehicle or phone malfunctions, tows, flat tires, etc.
  • Uphold Amazon's DSP guidelines, policies, and service standards
  • Be ready and willing to take a route yourself to cover call-outs and rescues as needed -- every route must be covered
Qualifications
  • Previous DSP experience, preferably in Dispatch but not required
  • Administrative and/or supervisory experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Able to pass a background check and a 4-panel drug screening (does not test for marijuana pre-employment)
  • Strong English communication skills - speaking, reading, and writing
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • A team mindset - you'll work closely with drivers and other team members toward shared goals
  • A non-provisional, unrestricted U.S. driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. solo
