Are you passionate about leveraging GenAI to simplify the builder experience and accelerate innovation at Amazon scale.
We own the software builder experience across IDEs, agentic clients, and their integrations with the Amazon ecosystem. Our mission is to keep builders in control and productive during code authoring phase.

We own the integration layer across IDE, CLI, and agent-orchestrated environments that lets builders inspect, understand, and intervene at every step. We are part of Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX), the organization that provides the tools and platforms every Amazon engineer uses to build, test, deploy, and operate software.
This is a rare opportunity to shape how thousands of engineers work with AI. As an SDE II, you will build and operate the infrastructure that integrates agentic AI tools with the Amazon developer ecosystem, ensuring builders maintain control and consistency across all surfaces

- Design, build, and operate infrastructure that integrates IDEs and agentic AI tools with the Amazon developer ecosystem
- Own service reliability and operational excellence across IDE, CLI, and agent-orchestrated environments
- Build scalable systems that support the shift toward CLI-driven and agent-orchestrated workflows while maintaining the IDE as a first-class surface
- Build instrumentation of builder surfaces to measure friction and prioritize investment based on usage data
- Partner with teams across Amazon and AWS to onboard new AI capabilities and drive adoption across the builder ecosystem
- Deliver features end-to-end from design through deployment, optimizing for time-to-first-productive-session
