Job Description

The Manager, CommerceAnalytics is a key driver of insight and strategic thinking. The primary responsibility of the Manager is to provide analyticsโ€‘based strategic insights and directions to aid in the development of commerce media and communications initiatives.

This position requires both strategic and tactical skill sets with an eye for numbers, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem solving, and a critical understanding of offline and online media. The candidate must have a proven track record in dataโ€‘rich analyses and be a team player. A โ€˜roll up the sleevesโ€™ approach is mandatory and a โ€˜get it doneโ€™ attitude is a must. Specific responsibilities include coordination between the research, analytics, and media teams to ensure high quality analytical projects are effectively delivered.

Successful candidates will be multiโ€‘dimensional rising stars who are able to employ complex problemโ€‘solving skills, and are able to communicate these succinctly to a broad client and media stakeholder audience.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Commerce and Media teams to design and execute analytical plans to improve the effectiveness of communications programs
  • Perform handsโ€‘on analysis in support of results, including development of conclusions and implications
  • Supervise and mentor Analysts
  • Teach Analysts to perform ongoing analysis to ensure the timely adjustment/optimization of campaigns
  • Develop and lead client presentations on media performance and insights.
  • Develop and maintain SQLโ€‘based or other structured reporting system
  • Deliver key insights related to commerce performance by building and leveraging insights from data. Understand key commerce KPIs, methods to produce, and working knowledge of commerce platforms
  • Understand dashboards and provide recommendations based on MMM findings or other statistical testing to media planning/buying decisioning
  • Maintain relevant media and marketing certifications and stay informed of marketing trends and tools such as Walmart Scintilla, Amazon Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Partner with crossโ€‘functional stakeholders on a daily basis to plan, execute, and analyze projects
  • Support agency newโ€‘business process as required
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in performing analytics in commerce analytics capacity at a media agency, consulting company, or inโ€‘house at a brand
  • Knowledge of SQL is required and experience with Amazon Marketing Cloud or other clean room environments is a plus
  • Knowledge of media and commerce measurement:
    • Ad serving platforms
    • Experience with retail media platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Criteo, Citrus, and thirdโ€‘party API partners (SKAI, Pacvue, etc).
    • Data visualization skills desirable (e.g. Tableau, Datorama, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Strong technical understanding of a range of media and marketing concepts such as firstโ€‘party and thirdโ€‘party cookieโ€‘based data collection, developing and activating audience segments from digital analytics and data management platforms.
  • Quantitative education or experience preferred (Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Quantitative Marketing).
  • Strong analytical skills โ€“ able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Proficient in data modeling to structure and organize media data effectively.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets
  • Proven track record of driving business results through dataโ€‘driven decisionโ€‘making in media
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to broad based stakeholder audience

Compensation Range: USD $88,540.00 - USD $127,155.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a thirdโ€‘party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
