Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Privacy Specialist to spearhead the documentation and maintenance of Amazon customer service (CS) data processing activities through comprehensive Records of Processing and Impact Assessments. They orchestrate systematic reviews of privacy documentation, working closely with CS Legal and system owners to ensure accuracy and completeness of all required records. Through strategic risk assessments and change management processes, they identify high-risk processing activities and implement appropriate documentation and mitigation measures. They maintain quality standards for privacy documentation while conducting regular Kale reviews to verify ongoing compliance across CS systems.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a comprehensive gap analysis of ROPs and DPIAs across all CS-owned systems
- In partnership with CS Legal, design and execute a privacy documentation remediation plan to achieve 100% documentation completeness
- Lead end-to-end privacy documentation lifecycle in partnership with process owners
- Drive completion of comprehensive RoP/DPIA questionnaires to capture critical data processing details from business stakeholders
- Analyze system owner responses to develop and maintain accurate ROP documentation reflecting current processing activities
- Conduct strategic assessments to determine DPIA requirements based on processing risk profiles
- Partner with CS Legal and process owners to execute required DPIAs, ensuring thorough risk evaluation and mitigation strategies
- Establish and maintain systematic review cycles for existing ROPs and DPIAs to ensure continuous accuracy and compliance
- Implement robust change management processes to capture and document material updates to processing activities
- Advocate for privacy best practices and lead privacy reviews via Kale

The CS Trust and Compliance team provides assurance to CS leadership that operational and reputational risks are effectively identified and addressed. Our team champions a proactive approach to risk management across Amazon by building mechanisms to validate that processes and controls are in place before issues arise. We combine deep risk expertise with technological innovation to protect our customers and business while enabling operational excellence.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with GDPR, CCPA, and familiarity with emerging AI regulation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
