Job description

We are on a mission to ensure every customer trusts every purchase to be authentic. The Product Quality team builds the technology and AI-powered solutions that prevent counterfeit products from reaching customers across Amazon's worldwide stores, protecting both customers and the selling partners who build their businesses on our platform.
As a Senior Product Manager-Tech for Counterfeit Prevention, you will own the end-to-end product strategy for proactively detecting and preventing counterfeit activity before it impacts the customer experience. You will define the vision and technical roadmap for solutions that identify counterfeit signals across diverse and evolving sources and integrate these capabilities into treatment mechanisms that create robust barriers for bad actors while maintaining a frictionless experience for trustworthy selling partners. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams spanning risk management, science, engineering, and analytics to define problems, prioritize features, and deliver solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, trust and safety, and customer experience, building products with the ambitious goal of eliminating counterfeits from Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in counterfeit vectors and the evolving tactics used by bad actors, and build the framework to classify counterfeit risk signals in a structured manner that supports optimal downstream actions
• Define the 3-5 year product vision and roadmap for counterfeit prevention that scales with evolving counterfeit threats and delivers speed and operational efficiency through AI and automation
• Build AI-powered detection products that proactively identify counterfeit activity across diverse signal sources and comprehend these signals to assess the magnitude and severity of counterfeit risk
• Design and integrate counterfeit prevention capabilities into treatment mechanisms that create robust barriers for bad actors while maintaining a frictionless experience for trustworthy selling partners, including automated enforcement actions at worldwide scale
• Collaborate with stakeholders across risk management, science, engineering, analytics, and business to develop the vision and effectively communicate direction to senior leaders to drive alignment and prioritization
• Develop product plans with clear measurable success criteria and own the mechanisms to communicate variance in product KPIs and progress against the roadmap
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
