Contract (1 year) – Published 2 days ago – Cameo – VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security located in Oklahoma City is seeking Systems Engineers to ensure that systems verification testing meets the verification success criteria. The role involves reviewing existing requirements, verification success criteria, and test directives, ensuring the test philosophy will meet the requirements and satisfy the customer, and writing a data analysis plan. This position will be working in the Executive Transport group supporting platforms such as C32/C40, E-4, and Head of State Aircraft for Japan, India, New Zealand, and Poland. Additional platforms include Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEWC), B‑1, B‑2, B‑52, and ALCM weapons. The role is 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Responsibilities
  • System requirements development, decomposition, and allocation
  • System logical & functional decomposition/analysis
  • System architecture, design, and synthesis
  • System verification and validation of requirements
  • Support FAA and Military Certification
  • System analysis and project engineering (Technical Performance Measures, Risk, Issue, & Opportunity Management, SEIT performance/leading indicator metrics)
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams, working groups, program, and customer meetings and technical design reviews
  • Develop and deliver SEIT products such as architecture models/documents, requirements databases, specifications, reports, etc.
  • Collaborate with customer organizations
  • Mentor and coach to ensure team understands & executes Boeing processes and ensures quality of all deliverables
  • Travel periodically to support customer and supplier meetings
  • Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering Tools (MSOSA, CAMEO, Rhapsody, DOORS, 3DX, TeamCenter, etc.)
  • Aircraft system and/or domain knowledge in areas such as MIL Radio, Mil Nav, Mission System, Networking, Cabin Systems, IFE, Classified Processing, 787 Common Core Avionics, 777‑300 AIMS/Avionics, 737‑MAX 8/9/10 Avionics, LAIRCM, RWR, CMDS, Airworthiness, avionics interface / mnemonics (ARINC 429), MIL‑STD 1553
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience in System Architecture Development and Modeling tools (CAMEO/MSOSA, Rhapsody)
  • Experience in Requirements Management and tools (e.g., IBM DOORs)
  • Experience in verification & validation of requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and create plans for executing on deliverables
  • Strong systems thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and leadership
  • Experience in ICD development, logical architecture, requirements development, specification development, system functions and SSOW development
  • Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management
  • Experience project engineering and executing system design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Experience in systems integration and test including lab integration, ground test, and flight test
  • Experience in Airworthiness and Certification (including FAA, EASA, Military)

Contract Details

Duration: 1 year. Work schedule: full time. Shift 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. 9 x 80 work schedule (yes). OT as required. US person required for export compliance. Security clearance Secret required, must start. Domestic travel possible. International travel not required.

Compensation

Pay rate: $71–$76 per hour (USD).
