The AR Sortation Solutions Design Team is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineer to design next-generation automated sortation systems for Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sort Centers (SCs), and Amazon Logistics (AMZL). A successful candidate will have deep expertise in sortation technologies including linear sorters, crossbelt systems, palletizing automation, and AMR/AGV applications, with the ability to understand system-of-systems level interactions across material handling equipment, robotics, and facility infrastructure. The Solutions Design Team is responsible for translating business requirements into comprehensive robotic automation designs that integrate multiple technologies into cohesive solutions

You'll examine and optimize existing robotic solution performance while combining those learnings with the latest sortation and automation technologies to design state-of-the-art solutions. Lead multiple concurrent projects while coordinating with internal teams, external partners, contractors, and vendors.
Build simulation models and conduct throughput analyses to validate solution feasibility and solve complex integration challenges and tradeoffs.
Drive technical design projects from concept through implementation, understanding system-of-systems interactions across robotics, MHE, and facility infrastructure.
Define solution requirements and drive them to product teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
Collaborate with global stakeholders through all design phases from initial design and systems integration through construction and startup.
Work with product management and systems engineering to develop next-generation features that enhance solution performance.
Travel up to 15% to sites in the US, Canada, and EU.
