What is a typical work structure or schedule for an Amazon Contractor?

As an Amazon Contractor, your work structure and schedule can vary depending on the specific contract role—such as delivery driving, warehouse operations, or technical services. Many contractor positions involve shift-based, part-time, or flexible hours, allowing you to set your availability or take on more assignments during peak seasons. Delivery contractors often work early mornings, evenings, or weekends to meet high consumer demand, while warehouse or technical contractors might work regular business hours or on call. It's common to work independently, but you will frequently interact with Amazon managers, team leaders, or other contractors to ensure smooth operations. This flexible setup allows for work-life balance while maintaining the fast-paced nature of Amazon's fulfillment and service standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Amazon Contractor position, and why are they important?

To excel as an Amazon Contractor, you generally need a strong understanding of logistics or ecommerce operations, attention to detail, and relevant work experience or credentials depending on the contract type (such as delivery, warehousing, or IT services). Familiarity with Amazon's proprietary systems, inventory management software, or delivery technology platforms is often required, and certain roles may need specific certifications like a valid driver's license or commercial vehicle certification. Excellent time management, reliability, and strong communication skills help you meet deadlines and work productively with Amazon teams. These abilities ensure you deliver high-quality service, adapt to evolving demands, and uphold Amazon’s standards for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What is an Amazon Contractor job?

An Amazon Contractor is an independent worker or a company hired by Amazon to perform specific tasks or services. These roles can vary widely, including delivery drivers, warehouse support, customer service, or technical services. Unlike full-time employees, contractors typically do not receive Amazon benefits and work under a contract with specified terms. Pay, job responsibilities, and contract length depend on the position and agreement.

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Paid Media Manager to help drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and brand awareness across multiple channels and brands.

This is a high-visibility role with significant ownership and direct impact on business performance. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and is comfortable managing complex campaigns, agency relationships, and large advertising budgets.

What You'll Do

Paid Search & Performance Marketing

  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, and Demand Gen.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency, scale performance, and increase return on ad spend.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience targeting initiatives.
  • Manage Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center accounts, including promotions, product feeds, and troubleshooting.

Paid Social & Emerging Channels

  • Oversee paid social advertising initiatives across Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Partner with agency resources to execute prospecting, retargeting, shopping, and video campaigns.
  • Evaluate emerging advertising opportunities, AI-powered platforms, and new customer acquisition channels.

Amazon & Retail Media

  • Provide strategic oversight of Amazon Advertising programs, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP campaigns.
  • Manage retail media initiatives, including Home Depot advertising programs and product listing ads.
  • Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including ROAS, TACoS, ACoS, conversion rates, and revenue contribution.

Agency & Budget Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agency partners and external vendors.
  • Manage campaign budgets, forecasting, pacing, and media planning recommendations.
  • Hold agency partners accountable to performance goals and business objectives.
  • Participate in annual planning, forecasting, and budget allocation discussions.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Build and maintain performance reporting across Google Ads, Meta, Amazon Ads, and GA4.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead structured testing initiatives across creative, audience targeting, landing pages, bidding strategies, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal development and creative teams to improve campaign performance and tracking accuracy.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns in a DTC e-commerce environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max), Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and Amazon Advertising.
  • Experience managing significant advertising budgets and making budget allocation recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of attribution, conversion tracking, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Experience working directly with agencies and external marketing partners.
  • Proven ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into business recommendations.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience writing and optimizing paid advertising copy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LiveRamp or similar audience activation and identity resolution platforms.
  • Familiarity with retail media platforms such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart Connect, or Amazon.
  • Experience with programmatic advertising and/or Connected TV (CTV).
  • Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certifications.
  • Experience in home improvement, outdoor living, consumer products, or related e-commerce industries.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of VOLT's brands, customers, and advertising ecosystem.
  • Build strong relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities.
  • Lead testing initiatives that generate measurable business impact.
  • Become a trusted resource for paid media strategy and performance insights.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work on-site in our Lutz, FL headquarters.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with significant visibility to senior leadership.

Please note: This is a hands-on performance marketing role. Candidates should have direct experience managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns rather than solely overseeing agencies or marketing team
