JPMorganChase's Chief Data and Analytics Office is accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey-strengthening data quality, integrity, and security while enabling insights that improve decision-making, productivity, and risk management.
As a Data Owner Lead, Vice President at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Finance and Treasury and Chief Investment Office Chief Data Office (part of Corporate Finance and Corporate Controllers), you will coordinate across data providers and data consumers to ensure business data is clearly defined, fit for purpose, and well governed. You will drive execution of data strategies, improve end-to-end data quality and controls, and help embed a strong, risk-aware data culture that supports innovation and business outcomes.
Job responsibilities
  • Implement data strategies and plans that support business operations and strategic objectives
  • Manage project execution, milestones, and delivery timelines while identifying and mitigating risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies
  • Partner with stakeholders to define business data meaning, purpose, and appropriate classification using clear metadata
  • Document requirements for data sourcing, content, and quality, coordinating with technology and business partners to deliver timely and accurate data
  • Develop and oversee processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across the data lifecycle, including protection, retention, storage, use, and quality
  • Support analytics and data products by identifying, approving, and governing data integrated into analytics platforms
  • Communicate, track, and resolve data issues in a timely and consistent manner to maintain data integrity and trust

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in data management, data governance, risk management, analytics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing delivery timelines and driving outcomes across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and data lifecycle management, including data protection, data quality, and data classification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate complex data topics into clear business actions
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences and senior stakeholders
  • Experience building effective partnerships and influencing across teams to deliver large-scale data initiatives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies (such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence in a business context
  • Working knowledge of query or analytical programming languages
  • Experience leading data-enabled change initiatives that improve business processes and efficiency
