Selling Partner Services enables sellers and vendors to put their products in front of hundreds of millions of customers and offers sellers the tools and services needed to make e-commerce successful, efficient and simple.
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help improve the communication experience of Amazon's Selling Partners. You will join an established agile team building distributed systems that scale to support millions of Selling Partners around the world, leveraging the latest AI tooling to accelerate delivery and raise the bar on of the experiences we enable. This is a cross-cutting team - you will partner with experience owners across the entire Selling Partner business, giving you broad visibility into how Amazon communicates with its partners at every touchpoint. You will innovate on behalf of our customers, see the impact of your work first-hand, and help shape the future of Selling Partner communications at Amazon. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about building new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in weeks, not years.
Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
* Create solutions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
* Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
* Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
* Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
* Deliver customer obsessed solutions that solve business problems for both technical and non-technical users within Amazon.
* Leverage AI - both to accelerate your own engineering workflow and to integrate AI-powered capabilities directly into the products and services we deliver.
About the team
The SPACE team (Selling Partner Actionable Communication and Experience) owns the internal platform that enables Amazonians to design, build, and launch multi-channel communication experiences with Amazon's Selling Partners. Teams worldwide use our product to deliver critical information to Selling Partners via email, SMS, mobile push, external API integrations, and more. We are focused on increasing adoption, expanding functionality, and raising the bar on communication quality to build richer experiences for Selling Partners.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
