Job description

Drive the evolution of Amazon's advertising technology platform by leading strategic technical programs that impact millions of advertisers worldwide. You'll shape how businesses reach customers through Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Amazon DSP, and emerging ad technologies by orchestrating complex initiatives across multiple engineering teams and organizations.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end program management for strategic advertising technology initiatives, coordinating delivery across multiple engineering teams, product organizations, and business stakeholders
- Drive technical strategy and roadmap alignment by facilitating collaboration between engineering, product, science, and business teams to ensure shared vision and priorities
- Lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges in areas such as ad serving, campaign management, measurement, and optimization
- Establish program governance and accountability mechanisms including metrics, reporting structures, and visibility frameworks that support informed decision-making at senior leadership levels
- Identify and mitigate risks across large-scale distributed systems, working proactively with engineering leaders to address technical and operational challenges before they impact service delivery
A day in the life
In this role, you'll focus on stewarding large-scale technical programs that span our advertising campaign creation technology platform. You might start your day reviewing program metrics and stakeholder feedback on a current initiative, then transition into a technical design review with engineering leaders to evaluate architectural approaches for scaling our ad serving systems. You'll collaborate with product and science teams to align on roadmap priorities, facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions to navigate complex technical challenges, and prepare executive summaries for leadership reviews. Your work extends beyond traditional program management-you'll mentor other technical program managers, identify emerging risks in our distributed systems, and champion process improvements that enhance how teams coordinate and deliver.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
