Location: Stone Center- North Kingstown, RI
Compensation: $28–$35 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and equipment proficiency

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Dump Truck Driver and a Straight Truck to support our new operations out of North Kingstown. This role is responsible for transporting materials on local routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a dump truck on local, intrastate routes in all weather conditions
  • Load, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety standards
  • Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or spillage during transport
  • Maintain accurate logs, delivery tickets, and required paperwork
  • Follow dispatch instructions, delivery schedules, and assigned routes
  • Utilize GPS, maps, and navigation tools effectively
  • Verify deliveries for accuracy and obtain proof of delivery when required
  • Communicate delays, issues, or concerns with dispatch or management
  • Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the assigned vehicle
  • Fuel and prepare the truck for next-day operations
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service
  • Report vehicle issues and troubleshoot minor mechanical concerns
  • Travel to and support other local branch locations as needed
  • Support team operations and complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class B license and current Medical Card
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background and Clearinghouse checks

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions

Physical Demands:

  • Constant sitting, seeing, and use of hands and feet while operating vehicle
  • Frequent talking and hearing
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 45 lbs repeatedly
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and walking
  • Ability to climb in and out of truck cab
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections, including accessing engine compartments

This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. Hours may fluctuate based on seasonal demand and business need. Saturday shifts and occasional overtime may be required.

This role is subject to seasonal hour reductions, including potential seasonal layoffs.
