Job description

MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance by operating equipment using magnetic fields
according to established procedures. Technologist demonstrates comprehensive understanding of
MRI technology. Maintains work area in an efficient organized state, following all safety and
confidentiality guidelines. Maintains high professional standard of conduct and patient care, while
exemplifying and promoting Augusta Health values.

Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an AMA approved
program in Radiologic Technology.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.

Licensure/Certification
• Must be registered in radiology by
the American Registry of Radiologic
Technology with documented
Continuing Education to maintain
registration/certification.
• Possess the willingness to complete
MRI training upon hire.
• CPR certified or obtained within 30
days of hire.
• Completed an accredited MRI
program preferred

Experience

• One or more years of experience in
the field of Radiology

• Prior MRI experience preferred; MRI Registry Certification is required for MRI Tech 2 role.
