Job description

School Bus Driver

The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, school-sponsored activities, and special trips. The position ensures the safety and well-being of students during loading, transport, and unloading by enforcing applicable laws, District policies, and student conduct expectations. The School Bus Driver performs required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintains the bus in a safe operating condition, and promptly reports maintenance or safety concerns to ensure reliable and safe transportation services. Work Schedule Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Pay is based on the District salary schedule and will be determined by verified years of applicable service.

Requirements / Qualifications

Requires: California Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B, with a Passenger (P) Endorsement California Special Driver Certificate (School Bus) Current Medical Examiner's Certificate Current First Aid Certification Current DMV Driver Record Printout Ability to operate a Type I School Bus Minimum of two (2) letters of recommendation Note: Proof of tuberculosis (TB) clearance, Live Scan fingerprint clearance, and all other School Bus Driver requirements must be submitted after a conditional offer of employment has been made.
