Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with expertise in various dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care, perform diverse dental procedures, and contribute to a supportive clinical environment while maintaining flexible working hours.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive dental examinations and diagnosis using advanced medical imaging and dental terminology.
  • Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, implants, and oral surgeries with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough patient assessments and healthcare diagnosis.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare policies to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in accordance with medical records standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with team members utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
  • Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties through ongoing education.
Qualifications
  • Valid state dental license with eligibility for part-time practice.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting; experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
  • Proficiency in performing dental extractions, implants, endodontics (including root canals), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
  • Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing dental practice operations.
  • Experience with medical imaging technology used for diagnosis and treatment planning.
