About the Role
The Associate Community Manager engages and grows our Claire's Girls community on social. This role will serve as the voice of the brand, foster meaningful conversations and drive community engagement. The ideal candidate is obsessed with internet culture, appreciates the uniqueness of niche communities and excels at creating witty, authentic brand engagements. The candidate is equally creative as they are organized and can withstand consistency across multiple campaigns concurrently.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Management
• Monitor and engage audiences across social channels, including Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social interactions such as comments and messages.
• Seek outbound opportunities that place Claire's in the cultural zeitgeist and trending conversations.
• Foster meaningful conversations that centers us in girlhood and adolescence and community.
• Track and report on community engagement metrics, sentiment and growth.
Social Management + Engagement
• Manage the social content calendar and coordinate posts to ensure consistent and thorough execution.
• Develop tactics to increase audience engagement, loyalty and community growth.
• Create initiatives that encourage UGC and community participation.
• Stay current on platform trends, audience behavior and best practices.
Creator and Influencer
• Identify and engage with content creators, influencers and public figures across relevant social platforms.
• Collaborate with creators to produce authentic content that resonates with target audience.
• Stay current on emerging creators, influencer trends and platform formats to inform social and influencer tactics.
Content + Copy Support
• Assist in content planning by identifying audience interests, questions and trending topics.
• Brief and create timely content that aligns with social trends, leveraging viral topics and cultural moments.
• Write and edit engaging, brand-aligned copy for social posts and responses.
• Adapt voice and tone to fit different social platforms while maintaining a consistent brand identity.
• Proofread and refine copy to ensure accuracy, clarity and alignment with brand guidelines before publishing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, community management or digital marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms and communities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with online communities.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, CreatorIQ).
  • Deep understanding of Gen Alpha / Gen Z social behavior
  • Strong creative instincts and "internet taste"
  • Proven experience growing engagement and UGC at scale
  • Highly responsive, organized, and execution-focused
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
• Experience working with influencers, ambassadors or creators
• Strong project management skills
  • Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva and Capcut
