Job description

Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience
Want to work for the best? Ryan Lawn & Tree was named one of the top three lawn and landscape companies in the US! With a 40 year legacy of excellence, we are rapidly expanding our professional arborist group in the Tulsa market.
We aren't just looking for a hand; we are looking for a skilled aerial professional ready to elevate their career. This role is designed for an experienced climber with the technical grit and leadership potential to transition into a Crew Lead position.
As an Experienced Arborist/Climber at RYAN, you won't just be "pruning"-you will be executing complex tree care operations and helping mentor the next generation of arborists.
  • Precision Climbing: Perform high-level pruning and complex removals using advanced climbing, rigging, and aerial lift techniques.
  • Operational Excellence: Expertly operate chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders while maintaining a "safety-first" culture.
  • Path to Leadership: Direct ground crews, manage job site efficiency, and prepare to step into a Crew Lead role as you master our systems.
  • Client Advocacy: Act as a subject matter expert, communicating clearly with Tulsa homeowners to ensure expectations are exceeded.

Requirements
We are seeking an individual who treats arboriculture as a craft, not just a job.
  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in professional tree climbing and technical rigging.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of modern climbing gear (SRT/SRS or MRS) and aerial safety standards.
  • Leadership Mindset: A desire to lead a team, maintain equipment, and take ownership of daily production.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work aloft for extended periods, lift 50+ lbs., and thrive in all Oklahoma weather conditions.
  • Credentials: * Valid Driver's License (Required).
    • Ability to obtain DOT certification.
    • ISA Certification or a degree in Forestry/Related fields is a major plus.

** SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment. Candidates must meet all screening requirements as a condition of employment.
Why work at Ryan?
RYAN is a proven leader with a reputation for the highest quality in the nation. Our rapid, sustained growth in Tulsa provides immediate advancement opportunities for employees who excel.
In addition to being a non-smoking, EEOC-compliant company with real advancement opportunities, we offer:
  • Full-time, year-round employment with starting compensation of $50,000-$60,000 based on experience, with clear pathways to a Crew Lead position.
  • Access to industry-leading continuing education and certification support.
  • Excellent benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • 11 paid holidays plus 1 floating personal holiday
  • 17 Paid Time Off (PTO) Days
