  • Culinary Operations & Leadership
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service flow and exceptional food quality.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards.
  • Lead and support the kitchen team during prep and service periods.
  • Maintain consistent portioning, presentation, and timing for all dishes.
  • Ensure kitchen stations are organized, stocked, and ready for service.
Team Management & Training
  • Supervise, coach, and train kitchen staff to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Delegate prep and cooking responsibilities effectively to maximize efficiency.
  • Support ongoing training in food safety, quality control, and brand standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture built on respect and communication.
Food Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance
  • Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Verify proper labeling, dating, rotation, and storage of all ingredients.
  • Conduct regular line checks and temperature logs to uphold compliance.
  • Report any maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns promptly to management.
Inventory & Cost Control
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving food and supplies.
  • Monitor portion control and food waste to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production levels, prep lists, and daily usage.
  • Communicate with the Kitchen Manager about par levels and supply needs.
Guest Experience & Brand Standards
  • Ensure everything leaving the kitchen meets Alltown Fresh standards of flavor, freshness, and presentation.

Additional Job Description: QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2-4 years of professional cooking experience required; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong culinary skills with proficiency in prep, cooking methods, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety, sanitation, and allergen management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Dependable, professional, and passionate about hospitality and teamwork.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position requires ServSafe, or other approved Food Safety Certification, within 90 days of employment or promotion.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift.
  • Ability to work near heat, cold, and wet surfaces.
  • Extended periods of standing and working in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Safe and proficient use of knives, cooking tools, and kitchen equipment.

Pay Range: $51,000.00 - $66,000.00 The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
