Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Pay Rate: $60 to $63/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Experience: Minimum 3 years required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Tuba City, Arizona. This role provides speech and language therapy services for inpatient and outpatient populations, including pediatric through geriatric patients. SLPA candidates are not accepted for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, feeding, and swallowing needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and evaluation findings.
  • Provide therapy services for inpatient and outpatient patients.
  • Perform swallowing evaluations, VFSS/MBS, FEES, pediatric feeding evaluations, and related specialty services as needed.
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, progress, follow-up, and discharge information in Allscripts.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on therapy goals, home programs, and care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation staff, and other care team members.
  • Support quality improvement, safety, risk management, staff education, and in-service training.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required.
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license required.
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Speech-Language Pathologist experience required.
  • Must meet medical staff credentialing requirements.
  • Allscripts experience preferred.
  • Inpatient and outpatient experience preferred.
  • Must be able to treat patients from birth through geriatric age groups.
  • Holiday coverage required.
  • No on-call requirement.
  • Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start, if applicable.
  • COVID and flu exemptions may be considered after declination form submission.
