Mciver Clinic, a division of Florida Physician Specialists, LLC has been an innovator in Urologic care since 1921. Our mission is to provide current and innovative urologic techniques in a sensitive and compassionate environment. Florida Physician Specialists has an immediate opening for Medical Assistants in our McIver Clinic division.


Medical Assistants work with the physician and non-physician providers in the clinical area to provide support and high-quality care for patients. The McIver Clinic division has five locations and thirteen physicians and some travel to satellite offices may be necessary.


Requirements

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and potentially stressful environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff both verbally and in writing
  • Proven track record of working well with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage challenging patient or staff issues in a professional and courteous manner

Essential Job Functions:

  • Escort patients back to exam rooms, prepares patient for physician
  • Set up office surgical trays, while maintaining sterility
  • Take vital signs and obtain a short explanation of the reason for the patient visit.
  • Assist the physician with simple office procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and strict HIPAA compliance
  • Occasional travel between division offices may be required. Must hold and maintain active Driver's License and pass MVR screening upon hire and annually.
  • Other duties assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • CPR certified.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday; 7:45am to 5pm

Experience:

  • Medical/urology office experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Allscripts/EHR (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Medical Assistant certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to perform KUB's is a plus
