Job description

We are looking for a Bilingual Spanish Patient Service Representative to support front-end patient services and administrative operations in Miami, Florida. This Long-term Contract position focuses on delivering a welcoming experience while handling registration, scheduling, billing support, and insurance-related activities with accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with patients, providers, and program staff to keep appointments, records, and financial processes organized and up to date.


Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and visitors professionally while providing service that reflects established patient support standards.

• Complete patient intake and registration activities, ensuring records are accurate and sensitive information is handled with discretion.

• Review financial information, collect applicable payments, and document transactions in accordance with organizational procedures.

• Prepare and process billing for assigned providers, monitor outstanding items, and follow up on unresolved encounters or pending charges.

• Coordinate with program managers and clinical staff regarding daily schedules, missed visits, and appointment changes.

• Contact patients to confirm upcoming visits and assist with arranging new or return appointments as needed.

• Maintain activity logs, operational statistics, and compliance-related reports to support accurate tracking and reporting.

• Scan and upload documents into patient charts and perform general clerical tasks that keep records complete and accessible.

• Support Medicaid and managed care processes, including coverage verification, eligibility review, enrollment support, and disenrollment actions.

• Share information about available organizational and community-based services and assist with additional departmental projects as assigned by leadership.

• Experience in patient registration, front-desk support, medical scheduling, or a similar healthcare administrative role.
• Knowledge of billing workflows, payment collection practices, and insurance verification procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage patient information with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist patients, coordinate with providers, and respond to inbound calls effectively.
• Proficiency with healthcare and office systems such as Allscripts, Cerner, CRM platforms, Dentrix, or related software.
• Comfortable preparing reports, tracking logs, and working with data for operational or compliance purposes.
