Job description

This is a hybrid on-site/remote position, the applicant will be expected to report to our Scottsdale office at least once per week.  Shift is daytime hours Mon-Fri, no weekends or holidays. 

Employer supplements health insurance premiums and offers matching 401K benefits, paid vacation, sick days and holidays upon completion of probationary period.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking to hire a full time Patient Financial Services/Customer Service representative in North Scottsdale.  Applicants must be familiar with medical billing, have experience in third party insurance processing, and be able to manage time and work assignments efficiently.  Fluency in Spanish is beneficial.  Qualified candidates must be able to interact with team members and insurance companies, be dependable, detailed oriented, problem solve and improve processes. Proficiency in Excel is a must and knowledge in Medisoft, Health Fusion/NextGen Office, eClinicalWorks, AllScripts, Aprima, and AdvancedMD is beneficial. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·        Handling in-bound patient phone calls

·        Establishing patient payment plans

·        Receiving and transmitting miscellaneous insurance and legal correspondence

·        Reprocessing of denied/rejected claims

·        Resolution of insurance payment issues

·        Patient account research and analysis

·        Authorization and eligibility of benefits

·        Communication skills (written and oral)

QUALIFICATIONS:
The preferred qualifications are listed below, but are not limited to:

·        High School Diploma preferred.

·        Knowledge of medical billing best practices and insurance companies preferred.

·        Knowledge of the following practice management systems is beneficial: Medisoft, NextGen (Health Fusion), eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, Aprima, AllScripts

·        Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·        Excellent professional oral, written (including grammar, punctuation, and sentence composition), and electronic communication skills.

·        Capable of remaining organized while prioritizing and executing multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

·        Able to self-start and work independently.
