Service and maintenance equipment.


Job Requirements

  • The mechanic position is considered a non-entry level position. Mechanics are required to have, prior to employment, previous verifiable experience for consideration of this position. On the job training will be provided specific to company policies and procedures. Mechanics are requiring to have knowledge of all or any of the following, diesel engines, gasoline engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, air systems, & pump systems. Heavy work classification. Exerting 50 lbs frequently and/or occasionally. Long periods of sitting, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. Push / Pull while exerting manual force. Works outdoors. Works with moving equipment. Repetitive motions and manual handling of material. Works at a rapid pace. Willing to be open minded with the type of equipment they will be maintaining/repairing. Own their own hand tools or at least be willing to invest in them as needed. Willing to work a flexible schedule and be on call if needed. Willing to take road calls with having guidance or assistance from the shop for special tools and parts needed to conduct the repair as necessary.
  • Possess knowledge on hydraulic, electrical systems, and pneumatics utilized in hydraulic/electric components used on oil field equipment.
  • Possess knowledge on industrial diesel engines such as Detroit 71 and 92 series, 60 series Detroit, ISX/QSX cummins variants, 855 cummins, caterpillar 3406C, smaller deutz variants of engines, and have an aptitude to learn to work on much larger engines including MTU 2000/4000 series engines, and caterpillar 3512E engines.
  • Knowledge on Alliston 700 series transmissions as well as larger allison variants including 4000 series and larger. Knowledge on manual transmissions including Eaton 8LL, 13 speeds, 15 speeds, and 10 speeds a plus.
  • Knowledge of different drivelines such as what would deem components to be too worn for operations and how to properly time.
  • Ability to R and R clutches and possess the knowledge on how to properly install and adjust them.
  • Knowledge or aptitude on programs used to diagnose and repair common diesel engines.


Experience

  • 8-10 Years experience.
  • Experience or aptitude to learn electrical and hydraulic components utilized in typical coiled tubing/pumping packages used in an oil field setting.
  • Mechanical experience with Coil Tubing and Pumping is of value.
