Overview
Registered Nurse, Stepdown – Atlanta, Georgia. Start date 09/08/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range $2,314–$2,459 per week with 48 guaranteed hours. Shift: Night, 2x4 schedule. Setting: Medical step-down unit with 16–20 beds.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the medical step-down unit, addressing conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
- Monitor patients on telemetry, maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:4, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and prepare for transitions of care.
- Perform and document accurate assessments, vital signs, wound care, IV therapy, daily care plans, and timely handoffs during shifts.
- Respond to changes in patient condition, implement ACLS/BLS protocols as indicated, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a medical step-down, telemetry, or related inpatient unit.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Experience in a 16–20 bed medical step-down unit with patient-to-nurse ratios up to 1:4.
- Ability to work Night shift on a 2x4 schedule for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA.
- Capable of meeting the demands of a hospital setting and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
