Job description

We are hiring an Economist for our Global Economics & Strategy Team. This position is based in New York.
What you do:
  • Conduct macroeconomic analysis of the U.S. and Americas economies
  • Develop quantitative macroeconomic forecast models for the assigned economies
  • Communicate complex economic findings through clear research publications and presentations
  • Rapidly process, analyse and comment on incoming economic data for the investment function
  • Translate macroeconomic developments and forecasts into actionable investment advice
  • Organize and host research meetings and events, strengthening long-term external partnerships
  • Represent the firm's macroeconomic analysis and forecasts at conferences and in the media
  • Collaborate cross-regionally and cross-functionally to produce holistic economic perspectives
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

What you bring:
  • Masters or Ph.D. in economics or relevant field
  • 6-10 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis of the US economy, for example at an investment bank, asset management firm, treasury or central bank
  • Works well in a small team environment
  • Good working knowledge of econometrics and quantitative methods, as well as leveraging artificial intelligence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in business writing and communication for research publications
  • Ability to work calmy under the pressure of deadlines
  • Experience collaborating across regions and teams
  • Experience producing research for varied audiences
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Job posting range $130,000.00 - $175,000.00
Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
