Job description

The Allergistย providesย comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of allergic, asthmatic, and related immunologic conditions.ย Theย Allergistย worksย collaboratively with ENT providers and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for both pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient setting.ย Theย Allergist usesย strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to evidence-based medicine.ย 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with allergic rhinitis, sinus-related allergy symptoms, asthma, eczema, food allergies, drug allergies, and related immunologic conditionsย 
  2. Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform focused physical examinationsย 
  3. Order, perform, and interpret allergy testing, including skin prick, intradermal, and selected laboratory testing as appropriateย 
  4. Develop individualized treatment plans, including allergen avoidance strategies, pharmacologic therapy, and immunotherapyย 
  5. Prescribe and manage medications related to allergic and immunologic conditions, including biologic therapies when indicatedย 
  6. Supervise andย monitorย allergy immunotherapy protocols and patient response to treatmentย 

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institutionย 
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and fellowship training in Allergy and Immunologyย 
  • Board certified or board eligible in Allergy and Immunologyย 
  • Active and unrestricted medical license, or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable stateย 
  • DEA registration and controlled substance authority asย requiredย 
  • Demonstrated experience in outpatient allergy evaluation, testing, and immunotherapy management preferredย 
  • Proficiencyย with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation systemsย 

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Specialty Care Networksโ€™ salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidateโ€™s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
