Job description


About This Role

You will play a vital role in supporting multiple classrooms (Infant, Toddler, and Preschool), ensuring operational efficiency while providing consistent care, supervision, and support across the center.


What You'll Do
  • Provide classroom support across all age groups to ensure seamless daily operations and ratio compliance
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized learning environment in accordance with health, safety, and licensing standards
  • Execute facility upkeep tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Dishwashing and sanitation of bottles, utensils, and classroom materials
  • Routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, toys, and common areas
  • Waste management, including timely removal of trash and maintaining cleanliness of disposal areas
  • Assist with meal preparation and snack service, ensuring adherence to nutritional guidelines and food safety protocols
  • Support teachers with classroom transitions, activities, and behavioral guidance
  • Ensure continuous supervision and engagement of children to promote safety and developmental growth
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold center standards, policies, and daily operational flow

Requirements
  • Previous childcare experience preferred (but not required)
  • Must be able to meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
  • CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass background check
