Overview:

Traders Point Christian Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Varsity Cheer Coach to lead and develop our cheerleading program. The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching cheerleading, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for our student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement practice plans to enhance cheerleading skills, routines, and stunts.
  • Coach and mentor student-athletes, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude.
  • Organize and oversee cheerleading activities, including practices, games, competitions, and fundraising events.
  • Collaborate with athletic staff, other coaches, and parents to support student-athletes' academic and athletic growth.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and events.
  • Manage cheerleading budgets and provide regular reports.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Uphold the values and mission of Traders Point Christian Schools.
  • Communication with the Athletic Director and parents is an important part of your role here at TPCS while leading the Cheer Program

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience in cheerleading or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cheerleading techniques, rules, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and comply with school policies and regulations.
  • A commitment to the mission and vision of Traders Point Christian Schools.

This is a part-time, 1099, stipend position.
