Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist specializing in clinic-based services! In this vital role, you will empower children with diverse needs to develop their independence and functional skills within the community and school environment. Your expertise will help children overcome challenges while ensuring they receive tailored interventions that foster growth and success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while collaborating closely with educators, families, and healthcare professionals.
We have a part-time or full-time position available. OTAs are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and overall functional performance in the home, community and school setting.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving daily living activities, motor coordination, and sensory integration tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Implement therapy interventions that support students’ participation in classroom activities, extracurriculars, and social interactions.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, and families to coordinate care plans and ensure consistency across environments.
  • Participate in discharge planning when students transition to different educational or healthcare settings; provide recommendations for ongoing support.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with school policies and healthcare regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist with specialization or experience in pediatrics.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in clinic settings or early intervention programs. Training and mentorship is provided.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate multidisciplinary services.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), disabilities, or developmental delays is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with educators, families, and healthcare teams.
