Job Summary:


Primarily responsible for managing the execution and analysis of marketing campaigns & activities for Shankman's clients at Kroger. Focus will be working with the internal Kroger team and external clients to create marketing strategies that drive business across many categories at Kroger.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead shopper marketing at Kroger, utilizing Kroger-owned platforms, as well as third party providers
  • Operate as a subject-matter-expert on marketing programs available from Kroger
    • Learn the details of these programs and successfully apply them to reach the marketing and promotional goals of our customers & clients
    • Programs include loyalty offers, digital media, print offers and more
  • Host planning sessions with clients to develop a strategic marketing plan employing a variety of layered tactics
  • Plan, conduct & host quarterly business reviews with key clients to:
    • Review upcoming marketing plans
    • Present results from recent/previous events, key learnings & future recommendations
  • Submit and set up promotions for execution, including digital coupons, targeted and untargeted digital media campaigns, and loyalty marketing events, etc.
  • Manage online digital programs throughout the promotional time-period and adjust key variables as needed
  • Complete analysis of programs at their conclusion and apply learnings to future recommendations
  • Apply principles of budgeting and ROI to maximize investment opportunities
  • Other duties will include ensuring up-to-date marketing information with Kroger, such as digital search tags, keywords, online presence including images and more


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate business-related subject
  • 4 years relevant experience in shopper focused marketing required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, as well as great adaptability and emotional intelligence
  • Strong ability to think and act strategically
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Skills working with AI a plus
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and learn new digital interfaces quickly
  • Possess strong speaking skills and an ability to present complicated material in an easy-to-process fashion to upper level and executive management from Shankman, clients and key accounts
