Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Safety:
    • Make sure everyone is safe, following procedures, and wearing PPE
    • Attend safety meetings and complete monthly safety quizzes with their team
    • Assist with completing action items
    • Inspect fire extinguishers and crane inspections monthly
    • Report incidents immediately to the safety department and VP of Accounts
  • Environmental:
    • Attend environmental meetings for contractors
    • Environmental compliance for the site, and be responsible for audits from the customer
    • Proper disposal of used oil, hot drain filters, and recycling
    • Metal recycling and track dumpster to ensure payment for scrap
  • Site Reports
    • Monthly CID Reports
    • Review operations and parts spend report form purchasing weekly
  • Financials
    • Monitor labor and parts spend, expand efficiency.
  • Maintenance:
    • Schedule PM due for all assets on site, create PM services, pull filters, and re-order filters
    • Plan repairs with PMs as best as possible
    • Manage oil sampling for the site
    • Set SOW with team
    • Make plans with the maintenance team and mechanics to correct action items from inspections
  • Yard and Shop / Inventory
    • Keep shop and yard inventory clean and organized
    • Keep up on stock levels (Fluids, filters, and spare parts)
    • Work with other sites and YD 20 on shared parts stocking levels. (i.e., common cylinders)
  • Invoicing / Billing
    • Work Orders and Invoices
    • Process work orders and rebills in M+. Move Invoices to completed status.
    • Update weekly rental report for IHE, IHW.
    • Keep rental POs current with the customer
    • Assist with collecting monthly hours
    • Send out damage reports
  • Daily Operations / Communication
    • Have phone on 24/7 for service calls/machine breakdowns.
    • Communicate with all mechanics
    • Manage up/down report
    • Manage priorities of the sourcing agent
    • Schedule 3rd party repairs/damages when needed
  • Customer Service
    • Be professional and have a great attitude with all levels of customers
    • Solve customer problems

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Heavy equipment/mill service experience
  • Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced computer skills and strong Excel ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office and mill setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
