BTR properties aim to provide a high-quality, hassle-free renting experience for tenants and are increasingly popular in urban areas. They also offer greater security of tenure and professional management compared to traditional private rentals. Job description

Maintenance Technician โ€“ RISE St. Augustine (Build-to-Rent Community)
$24โ€“$26/hour
A resident submits their first service request in a brand-new home.
Everything is still fresh โ€” expectations are high.
How that request is handled sets the tone for how theyโ€™ll experience living here.
Thatโ€™s where you come in.
Weโ€™re hiring a Maintenance Technician at RISE St. Augustine, a newly built community, where the goal isnโ€™t just to fix issues โ€” itโ€™s to maintain a standard from day one.
What This Role Really Is
This isnโ€™t just about completing work orders.
In a new community, maintenance sets the baseline:
  • How quickly issues are resolved
  • How well things are cared for
  • How residents feel about their home
This role is about consistency, quality, and ownership โ€” keeping something new operating the way it was designed to.
What Youโ€™ll Be Responsible For
  • Completing service requests efficiently and with attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting maintenance issues and delivering lasting solutions
  • Performing preventative maintenance across homes and community spaces
  • Supporting the overall appearance and functionality of the property
  • Communicating clearly with residents and team members
  • Helping ensure readiness of homes for move-ins
What Weโ€™re Looking For
The right person for this role:
  • Takes pride in doing the job right โ€” not just getting it done
  • Is reliable, steady, and shows up ready to solve problems
  • Communicates professionally with residents and teammates
  • Pays attention to detail and notices issues early
  • Understands urgency, but doesnโ€™t cut corners
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
What This Role Is NOT
  • Not a quick-fix, patch-and-move-on approach
  • Not a reactive-only position
  • Not a โ€œcheck the boxโ€ maintenance role
Anyone can close out a work order.
Weโ€™re looking for someone who takes ownership of the result โ€” and the resident experience that comes with it.
Why RISE St. Augustine
This is a chance to be part of a brand-new build-to-rent community from the beginning:
  • Setting the standard for maintenance and service
  • Helping shape the resident experience from day one
  • Working in a clean, well-designed environment built for long-term quality
Interested?
If you take pride in your workโ€ฆ
If you care about quality, not just speedโ€ฆ
If you want to be part of building something the right way from the startโ€ฆ
Weโ€™d like to connect.
Apply today to learn more.
