Job description

ACME Distribution Center, a division of the Albertsons Companies, is currently searching for a Facility Maintenance Supervisor -3rd Shift to join our team. Albertsons Companies is one of the largest food and drug retailers with 2,300+ stores. Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply and follow all Federal, State, Local, Industry and Albertsons Companies policies, ordinances, standards, and procedures such as use of Personal Protective Equipment, Lock out/Tag out, Hot Work Permits, and PSM/RMP.
  • Must abide and enforce all Albertsons Companies safety standards and requirements including personal protective equipment need to perform job duties. Conduct monthly safety meeting with the maintenance departments.
  • Must comply and maintain Albertsons Companies' food safety standards and support Sanitation programs to demonstrate consistent conformance.
  • Delegate, track, and verify daily repair tasks and work orders are complete.
  • Schedule and review all preventative maintenance and repairs for facility, life safety, grounds, refrigeration, and material handling equipment.
  • Utilize computerize maintenance system. Verifies work orders to ensure that they are properly prepared and completed correctly.
  • Experience with building blueprints, electrical, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Experience with material handling equipment.
  • Work with internal departments and contractors to schedule and maintain project plans and timelines.
  • Assist training maintenance associates.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance procedures are in effect and are being performed on a timely basis.
  • Facilitate and delegate inspections as necessary.
  • Verify correct maintenance inventory procedures are followed. Assist in ordering parts, supplies or tools to accomplish tasks as necessary.
  • Motivated and self-directed to complete workload assigned in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED. College or trade school degree desirable.
  • Ammonia refrigeration RETA CARO or CIRO certification and HAZWOPPER experience desired.
  • Five years of experience in facilities industrial maintenance with; electrical 480VAC, PLC inputs/outputs, safety circuits, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, conveyors, fire protection, and material handling equipment.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with CMMS programs to document and schedule maintenance tasks and manage inventories.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; able to learn other software programs, as necessary.
  • Analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to supervise others with good time management skills. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over two-way radios.
