Job description

VectorNav Technologies is the leading innovator and manufacturer of embedded navigation solutions using the latest in MEMS inertial sensor and GPS/GNSS technology. Since our founding in 2008, we have assembled a team of highly motivated and talented professionals, engineers, and entrepreneurs to accomplish our vision: become the global leader in embedded navigation solutions. In pursuit of this vision we take on the world’s most challenging navigation problems, develop the most innovative high-performance inertial sensing products and work with the world’s most transformative technology companies. We are a fast-growing, dynamic company looking for team members to join us and help realize our vision.

Achieving success requires dedicated, intelligent and insightful engineers who can adapt, communicate, and apply their expert understanding of navigation systems to the application at hand. We are seeking a Senior Navigation Engineer to join VectorNav's R&D team to help us:

  • Push forward VectorNav's state-of-the-art estimation algorithms for inertial navigation systems
  • Research and develop novel GNSS-denied navigation filtering, incorporating a wide range of sensing modalities
  • Use Matlab for simulation and data analysis based on customers' real-world datasets
  • Collaborate with the customer support team to incorporate customer feedback to improve VectorNav's software

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (Master's or Ph.D. preferred)
  • 10+ years experience in navigation and state estimation, particularly Kalman filters
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Experience working with inertial navigation systems, GPS/GNSS technology, and/or modern controls in real-world data (not just simulation)
  • Proficiency with Matlab, C/C++, Python or other software languages

Benefits

  • Standard Benefits Full medical, vision & dental insurance, vacation time, holidays, sick leave, 401k.
  • Training & Development Learn from the most innovative and talented team of engineers in the industry. As we reach for higher goals, we want to help you achieve yours.
  • Perks Company-wide catered lunch every Friday. Fully stocked break room complete with billiards, ping pong, foosball & more.
