We have delivered biometric features such as Face ID and Optic ID as well as many other computer vision algorithms powering Apple Vision Pro, iPhone, and iPad. Come shape Apple products as a driven and dedicated CVML Algorithm Engineer to push the limits of biometric ML algorithms with hands-on work and real world and simulated data, in an innovative team and be part of building the next big thing.
As a algorithm engineer, you will collaborate with an outstanding group algorithm engineers, software engineers, and our hardware engineering partners to develop new technologies for Apple's next generation products. The focus will be innovating and delivering effective, efficient and well-tested computer vision based solutions from prototyping to shipping that are often deployed on edge devices. Besides domain expertise and technical knowledge the ideal candidate will possess the self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative to achieve those goals. Analogously, the candidate is a lifelong learner who passionately seeks to improve themselves and the quality of their work. You will work together with similar minds in an outstanding team where your skills and expertise can be used to influence future user experiences and hardware that will be used by millions.
BS in Machine Learning related fields (i.e. Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics) and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experienceProficiency in PythonSolid background in machine learning and ML framework.Proficiency developing large scale models using modern machine learning packages (e.g TensorFlow, PyTorch)Experience with machine learning model interpretation, statistical inference, and evaluating deep learning models
MS/PhD in Machine Learning related fields (i.e. Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics)Experience with LLM techniques, vision transformers, and multimodal networksFamiliarity with prompt engineering, and ability to use AL to develop efficient workflowExperience with software design, design data pipeline, and use C/C++Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and documentation skills, including ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
