POSITION PURPOSE:
The Vice President of Admissions amp; Enrollment Operations is responsible for the integration of admissions strategy, recruitment execution, operations, and systems infrastructure to drive institutional enrollment goals. This role blends operational excellence and data-driven decision-making, ensuring that recruitment, admissions processing, and CRM systems operate as a unified, high-performing enrollment engine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Recruitment Team Leadership
  • Directly manage Admissions Counselors and recruitment staff.
  • Set clear expectations for daily, weekly, and seasonal recruitment activity.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs, including calls, appointments, applications, yield, and enrollment goals.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Coach staff on communication strategies, objection handling, and relationship-building.
Execution of Recruitment Strategy
  • Implement recruitment strategies established by senior leadership.
  • Ensure consistent, high-frequency outreach across multiple channels (phone, text, email, virtual).
  • Oversee territory management and ensure effective coverage and engagement.
  • Drive execution of events such as Open Houses, Accepted Students Day, and virtual programs.
Funnel Management amp; Conversion
  • Monitor daily and weekly funnel activity to ensure movement from inquiry to enrollment.

  • Ensure timely follow-up with prospective students and applicants.
  • Partner with Admissions Operations to ensure seamless handoffs and communication flows.
Collaboration amp; Communication
  • Work closely with Marketing to align outreach campaigns and messaging.
  • Partner with Financial Aid and Student Success teams to address student barriers to enrollment.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for prospective students and families.
Training amp; Development
  • Train new counselors on recruitment processes, systems, and expectations.
  • Reinforce best practices in CRM usage (Slate), communication, and time management.

Data amp; Reporting
  • Track and report on recruitment activity and outcomes.
  • Use CRM data and reports to inform daily priorities and coaching.

Strategic Leadership amp; Enrollment Planning
  • Serve as a senior advisor on enrollment strategy, forecasting, and growth initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of short- and long-term admissions strategies across all student populations (undergraduate, transfer, graduate, online, and international).
  • Establish and monitor enrollment IPIs, PIs, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Translate market intelligence, funnel performance, and predictive analytics into actionable strategy.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align admissions strategy with institutional priorities and financial goals.
Admissions Operations amp; Systems Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight and operational support for admissions operations, CRM (Slate), and systems infrastructure.
  • Ensure optimization of workflows, automation, and system integrations to maximize efficiency and scalability.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, reporting standards, and data integrity protocols.
  • Oversee development of dashboards and reporting tools to support real-time decision-making.

  • Oversee the execution of recruitment strategies through the Director of Admissions Recruitment.

  • Drive innovation in recruitment approaches, including multi-channel engagement and personalization strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Student Success, and IT to ensure alignment across the enrollment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on messaging, financial aid leveraging strategies, and student experience initiatives to improve yield and retention.
  • Serve as a liaison with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners.
Operational Excellence amp; Process Optimization
  • Lead continuous improvement of admissions processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and student experience.
  • Ensure timely and accurate application processing, communications deployment, and decision turnaround.
  • Align admissions operations with compliance requirements (federal, state, institutional).

REQUIREMENTS: The person selected will have the following qualifications:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred .
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in admissions, enrollment management, or related field
  • Significant experience with CRM systems (preferably Technolutions Slate)
  • Demonstrated success in leading both recruitment strategy and admissions operations
  • Experience managing teams and driving organizational change
