Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. Entry Level. Active Nursing License in the state of employment required. Position Purpose: Provide Occupational Health Care Services according to the Gulfstream Medical Program. Coordinate medical services required. for the safety and proper placement of employees, the treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, and approved industrial preventative medical programs under direction of Corporate Occupational Health Nurse Leadership.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and management to support organizational health and safety objectives .
  2. Promote and facilitate continuity of care through consistent and coordinated medical services .
  3. Maintain medical records in professional and confidential manner .
  4. Provide superior nursing care in a professional manner using all available resources .
  5. Provides timely treatment of work-related injuries .
  6. Demonstrate basic knowledge of workers compensation per state of employment .
  7. Demonstrate basic knowledge of all regulatory bodies pertaining to state of employment to include but not limited to DOT, FAA, OSHA/CalOSHA .
  8. Understanding of regulatory testing programs to include but not limited to hearing, vision, respiratory, alcohol and drug .
  9. Administer regulatory testing proficiently .
  10. Maintain appropriate inventories of medical and first aid supplies .
  11. Administer the collection and processing of drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Corporate and FAA alcohol and drug program .
  12. Maintain all medical equipment .
Additional Functions:
  1. Remain current with health and medical initiatives .
Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
  1. BLS Certification, DOT Collector and BAT Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
